National Post Primary School Championships

Pulse at the National Post Primary Schools Championships 2018

The National Post Primary Schools Championships is the premier national competition for young triathletes in Ireland. Teenage athletes from all over the country raced this year’s event, held at Naas last Sunday.

All the young athletes had gained their place in the final by qualification through regional heats in Ulster, Connacht, Munster and Leinster. Competitors raced across four age categories; senior, intermediate, junior, and minor.

Pulse was represented in the intermediate group by Oisín McGinley who put in a strong performance to come middle of the pack in the most competitive age grouping. In the Junior age group, Tom McGrane completed the cycle in the second fastest time and took 3rd place. Well done to Tom and Oisín, it is great to see our juniors racing in the top-level of competition.
