Weekly Training

 Typical Week Consists Of

  • Monday – Pool swim in Balrothery, Tallaght in winter or Killiney Bay in the summer (May – September).
  • Tuesday – Pool swim year round, Balrothery, Tallaght.
  • Wednesday – Track run in Tallaght or brick (bike/run) specific training in Corkagh Park in pre-season.
  • Thursday – High intensity spin class in Westpark Gym Tallaght (no need to be a Westpark member).
  • Friday – Strength & Conditioning training in Back2Basics gym Tallaght.
  • Saturday – Run day, usually combined with Parkrun at various locations.
  • Sunday – Group cycles for various abilities.

You’re welcome to attend as many of these sessions as you wish, and as suits your training aims. Our coaches will be happy to offer advice as to how much or how little you should be doing.

New To Tri Programme

Our 12-week NewtoTri programme, is back by popular demand! It is designed to get those new, or returning to triathlon, ready for their first race in just 12 weeks. Our chosen race for this year is Tri Athy (30th May 2026).

 

The coached programme is tailored to your individual needs and covers all triathlon disciplines.

You’ll steadily build your fitness, endurance and strength, and gain specific bike handling skills and race advice.
