Parkrun. We’re big fans.

Park RunIt’s such a welcoming, accessible and free way to complete a 5km run or walk in some of Ireland’s and the world’s best parks. And you’re doing it with other people with a similar appreciation and interest in keeping and getting fit. There’s a real community spirit at Parkrun.

Be it a gentle 5km, part of a longer training day, or aiming for a PB, Parkrun has something for everyone. You can even bring your buggy.

Every Saturday morning, Pulsers can be found completing Parkruns all across south and west Dublin, and further afield. Many of our younger Juniors take part in Junior Parkruns on a Sunday morning.

In February, we held our annual Pulse Parkrun Takeover at Corkagh Park and had a thoroughly enjoyable day managing the event, volunteering and chatting with other runners.

Over the winter months we run a club Parkrun League and in the spring, a Junior Parkrun League. This year, Niamh Oman, Saby Dutta and Robbie Heneghan were our adult League winners. We wait to see what the juniors get up to over the next few weeks.

Not only are juniors busy taking part in Parkrun, they’re also running them! Tomás, one of our junior members and member of our Junior Panel, is a core volunteer and Run Director at Corkagh Parkrun. Not content with that, he’s also starting a Corkagh Junior Parkrun. Well done Tomás.
