20km Individual Time Trial – 02 February 2013
2013 has officially started with the first event in the new Pulse Inter Club League completed. With what can only be described as near perfect weather conditions the scene was set for the perfect race opener. Forty members lined up with mixed intentions for the day from those wanting to sample race conditions for the first time, those hoping to set personal bests and those looking to position themselves on top of the race series.
The female podium positions were taken by Triona Ryan in 1st place, Therese Martin 2nd and Lizanne Barnwall only seconds behind in 3rd place. Two of the top three places were taken by new members to the club showing the strength of those newly joining the club.
The male podium positions saw Adam Lovett storming to 1st place, Kevin Doyle 2nd and only seven seconds behind Gavin Haberlin in 3rd. Adam has also only joined the club recently and already set a great marker for the competition. Also in the male standing David Green made his return with 1st place in the vets category
Congratulations to Adam, David and Triona who all receive prizes for their efforts and I’ll be in contact to get these to you during the week.
